(English) The Art of Intentional Emptiness
Yohaku, founded by Hiroki Nakamura, redefines Japanese interior design by creating mindful sanctuaries away from the noise. Inspired by the profound philosophy of Wabi-Sabi and the beauty of empty space, Yohaku offers minimalist furniture that blends authentic values with masterful craftsmanship. The brand name, translating to “blank space,” was specially crafted to capture the essence of “Simply Meaningful” living, underscoring the brand’s commitment to designs that gently absorb stress and invite you to simply be present.
BoderXStu partnered with Hiroki Nakamura to craft Yohaku’s brand from the ground up. We developed the strategic positioning, story, and core identity, ensuring every element reflected Yohaku’s obsession with “Stillness in every detail.” The Zen-inspired ethos of the brand is woven into every physical piece and print, emphasizing the founder’s personal dedication to celebrating the natural, the unrefined, and the beautifully imperfect.
The brand identity features a minimalist, geometric symbol, representing the harmonious balance of traditional Japanese architecture. The color palette, inspired by organic elements and natural wood grains, introduces warm tones against deep navy accents, bringing tranquility and enduring peace to the brand. The sophisticated, art-directed imagery showcases Yohaku’s promise of quiet elegance, with design elements that reinforce the brand’s narrative of providing a quiet corner for a busy mind.
